Amber - 18 holes The Championship

Selected hole 1

Par: 4
Handicap: 3
358

The first shot from the elevated tee gives you a chance to start the game well. The first fairway is divided by a natural ditch, so you have to decide whether to hit 180 m or stay in front of the ditch. If you decide to go for a long shot, you will need to use a medium or short iron for your next shot to reach the green. If you hit before the ditch, you will need a long iron or fairway wood. The green is surrounded by a bunker on the left and water on the right. The green is medium-sized, with a slight slope and a relatively easy putting surface.

Selected hole 2

Par: 3
Handicap: 9

This hole should not be underestimated. The water surrounding the tee is only an optical illusion. The green is large with wide curves, surrounded by bunkers on the left and right. On the left side of the green, there is a small ditch that runs parallel along the entire hole and high rough. Try to hit the ball straight, and if you fail, stick to the right side.

Selected hole 3

Par: 4
Handicap: 15

The tee area is surrounded by trees, and the first shot should clear a small pond and reach the middle of the wide fairway. It is best to hit to the right side of the fairway, which opens up the way for an easy second shot onto the green. The green is two-tiered and expansive. It is also well "protected" by two bunkers on the right and left. On the right side of the green, there are also small elevations with trees at the top. This is the first real chance for a birdie.

Selected hole 4

Par: 5
Handicap: 5
473
463

The drive should be played very narrowly due to the trees growing on the left side of the tee, the water hazard stretching along the right side of the hole, and the out of bounds on the right side of the water. The fairway is very wide and the first shot should be played to its right side. The second shot should be carefully considered. It is best to play with a medium or long iron, which will allow you to avoid the small pond and trees growing on the left side of the fairway and open the way for an easy third shot onto the green. The green is medium-sized, with large indentations and slopes, and is difficult to read. It is surrounded by a small pond on the left with a bunker between the pond and the green; behind the green there is a water hazard and out of bounds on the right. If you get a "net" par on this hole, you can say you did well.

Selected hole 5

Par: 4
Handicap: 11

This hole can be described as a "dogleg" – it curves slightly to the right uphill, with trees growing on the left. Again, you should play your first shots to the right side of the fairway to make your second shot to the green easier. The green is expansive with two levels, surrounded by bunkers on the left and right.

Selected hole 6

Par: 3
Handicap: 1

146

This is the most difficult hole among the Par 3s. From the elevated tee, you can see everything on the right: obstacles, trees, out of bounds, and the green. The headwind makes the game even more difficult. The green is quite large and rises slightly from the fairway. This hole has no bunkers and is difficult enough as it is. Good luck.

Selected hole 7

Par: 5
Handicap: 7
467
430
405

This is a difficult Par 5, so good planning is essential. The first shot is the most difficult, with water on the left, right, and straight ahead. Aim your first shots at the white marker in the middle of the fairway, but be very careful when choosing your club due to the immediate proximity of the water. The second shot is also difficult, with water on the left, right, and in front, so again, club selection is important. The green is quite large, with three levels, surrounded by bunkers on the right, left, and behind.

Selected hole 8

Par: 4
Handicap: 13
321
310
282

This is a very tricky hole, a relatively short dogleg to the right. It is crucial to clear the ditch with your first shot and land on the left side of the fairway, otherwise you may be blocked by the pine forest growing on the right. A small pond on the right awaits overly cautious players, and if you hit too far to the left, you may find yourself off the fairway on barren ground in a very tricky position. The green is large, but deeper at the front and shallower at the back, so be careful. The back edge of the green is steep, and any shot that is too long may cause the ball to land in the pine forest. There is only one bunker on this hole, on the left side of the green.

Selected hole 9

Par: 4

A great "small" hole. The tees are located slightly higher than the fairway, while the green is above the fairway. The hole is located in a hollow, but it is possible to land on the green with a strong tailwind and a good drive. It is safe to land before the water using a medium iron and then play a medium or short iron onto the elevated green. The green is surrounded by steep slopes and two bunkers, one on the right and one on the left. Two other bunkers are located close to the green on the right. The surface of the green, with its many sharp bends, makes it difficult to read.

Selected hole 10

Par: 5
Handicap: 14

An easy hole, but be careful, if you decide to play it provocatively, it can cause a lot of trouble. The tee is located on a hill, and it is best to play with a long iron or fairway wood before the ditch on the fairway. If you have a strong enough swing to play over the ditch, you may have a chance for an eagle or birdie. Standing on the tee, look around and take in the beautiful landscape. The second shot should clear two drainage ditches (preferably with a fairway wood or long iron) to leave a short wedge shot to the green. If you manage to hit the first shot, all that remains is to hit a medium or long iron to the green. The green is long and quite wide, shaped like a trough. There are water hazards to the right and behind the green, but no bunkers.

Selected hole 11

Statistically, this is the most difficult hole on the course. The first shot should reach a slightly elevated, wide fairway. Try to play to the left, otherwise your second shot may be blocked by trees growing on the right. If you can overcome the wind, you can play a long second shot onto the green. This hole has three small water hazards, the first on the right side of the fairway, approx. 150 m from the tee. The second divides the fairway into two parts approx. 280 m from the tee. The third is hidden in the short rough just to the right of the green and is only dangerous if you play a "capricious" shot. The green is elongated, located in a hollow and surrounded by trees on the right and two bunkers on the left.

The green is precisely fortified by two bunkers, on the right and left. It would be good to play the first shot straight, but if that doesn't work, it's better to play to the right, then there will still be a chance for a lucky "shot" onto the green from the sloping embankment that also surrounds the green. The green is vast, two-level with several tricky bends.

A difficult par 4, directly into the wind. The tees are slightly elevated above the fairway, which slopes sharply from left to right. The fairway has two platforms, and to stay on par, it is best to play to the second one. The second shot should land on the slightly elevated green. The green is wide but relatively shallow, so aim your second shot at the center or right side of the green, as it is very difficult to stop the ball on the left side. The green is surrounded by a deep bunker on the left and three shallow bunkers on the right.

A short Par 3, the easiest hole on the course. You will take your first shot from an elevated tee onto a wide green. There is a large tree on the left side of the green and two bunkers on the right, one of which is located close to the green. Behind the green, there is also a grass-covered bunker and steep fortifications that prevent shots from going too far.

A short par 4, a slight dogleg from right to left. The first shot is from a slight elevation onto the fairway, which is surrounded by hills on the left. The second shot is onto the highest green on the entire golf course, which offers a beautiful view of the course and its surroundings. The green is large, surrounded by two bunkers, one on the right and one on the left. Behind the green and to its right is an out-of-bounds fence.

An exciting, downhill hole that can be conquered with a long drive when the wind is favorable. There are bunkers on both sides of the fairway. The green is also surrounded by bunkers, one on the right and one on the left. There is a pond near the green, behind it and to its right. The surface of the green has several breaks, which "protects" this hole from the chance of a birdie. Our club members have established a nice tradition associated with this hole. Whoever's ball lands on the road running parallel to the hole (the road is out of bounds) on their first shot has to buy whiskey for all the players in their group. We really like this tradition and hope that you will participate in it as tasters.

This hole can be relatively difficult, especially due to the wind. You will take your first shot from a slightly elevated tee onto a fairway with a hill in the middle. Hitting over the hill will add about 30 m to the length of your drive and allow you to play a medium or short iron onto the green. The green is located on a hill and surrounded by three large bunkers on the left, right, and front. The green is spacious and has a distinct shape.

A chance to finish the round with a birdie. You will play your first shot from the tee on a hill onto a flat fairway. Halfway through your second shot, you will encounter four trees, which are more of an optical obstacle than a real challenge. There are two bunkers in front of the green, one on the right and one on the left. There is also a bunker behind the green on the right, and another grassy bunker on the left. The surface of the green has several slopes and sharp bends.
